LDC Encoded Card Systems

LDC has combined the security and versatility of the 2 Dimensional (2-D) bar code, with the flexibility of computer software and the economics of high volume card production to deliver a user friendly, low cost, card encoded security and identification system. The 2-D bar code (PDF 417) can contain more than one kilobyte of encoded data. Various encryption routines may allow certain data to remain confidential. Information, such as emergency contacts, could be further encrypted, if necessary. When scanned, a stream of ASCII data results, as such, it is the equivalent of text entry on a keyboard.
